House of DIFFA: Futuro Recap

Bravo TV star Carson Kressley and celebrity auctioneer Dana Goldberg took the stage Saturday night at the annual House of DIFFA: Futuro event. There, guests celebrated the future and the medical field’s progress in fighting HIV/AIDS. Zero Deaths, Zero New Infections and Zero Stigma.

The future does indeed look brighter with the help of philanthropists and style enthusiasts in Dallas; the evening raised more than $100,000 for local HIV/AIDS Service Organizations.

Filled with futuristic elegance and plenty of entertainment, the night began with a social cocktail hour and a silent auction at the Omni Hotel in Dallas. An array of custom designer jackets were on display and available for auction.

TONI&GUY Fashion Director, Yasmina Johnston, showed off her creative design with a one-of-a-kind jacket worn on the runway during the event, and later auctioned. Of the designer jacket auction, 2019 DIFFA Dallas jacket curator said, “A simple blazer can provide funding for a patient to receive life-saving medication or access to a psychologist.”

The TONI&GUY art team had the opportunity to donate their time and talents for the show: Stephen Jaime led the team to create “out of this world” hair to complement the evening’s runway fashions.

The hair styled by the TONI&GUY team for high-end clothing stores Forty Five Ten and Traffic LA ranged from classic and sleek to sexy and messy, and included knotted side buns, slicked back ponies and braids for men. The completed looks on the runway foreshadowed retro ‘60s and galactic space styles.
