You’re Invited: House of DIFFA: Futuro This Saturday

Join us in Dallas this Saturday, March 16 as the Louis L. Borick Foundation presents the 29th House of DIFFA: FUTURO fundraising event. The theme this year, Futuro, sets the evening’s sites on what DIFFA calls, “an incredible new world that is free of pain and suffering caused by HIV/AIDS.” Over 1,800 partygoers are expected to attend DIFFA’s biggest fundraising event of the season at the Omni Dallas Hotel.

DIFFA supports fundraising organizations that provide direct care grants for those affected by HIV and AIDS, and the evening looks to a future in which HIV/AIDS comes to a halt, and when there will no longer be any stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, no new infections, and no deaths—a Future of Zero. Tim Garippa, House of DIFFA: Future’s chair said of the event, “Futuro will bring to life the future that DIFFA/Dallas is committed to reach, a future without HIV/AIDS.”

Since its inception in 1984, DIFFA/Dallas has raised and granted over $8 million to a range of HIV/AIDS service organizations providing direct care to those affected by the disease in north Texas.

It’s both a beautiful cause, and will be an undeniably beautiful evening. Expect a runway show full of performances and haute looks from Traffic LA, Forty Five Ten and TenOverSix, as well as great hair—for the past several years, TONI&GUY hairstylists and makeup artists have donated their work, time, and creativity, and this year is no different.

Available for auction will be a selection of designer jackets from designers including Monse, Alberta Ferretti, Sies Marjan, Rosie Assoulin, Zac Posen, Theory, Ted Baker and more (auctioneered by none other than Bravo’s Caron Kressley). Stick around after for the exclusive after party, deejayed by Lucy Wrubel.
