TONI&GUY is a proud sponsor of the Dallas nonprofit Organization Kidd’s Kids, established in 1991 by late radio station DJ Kidd Kraddick. Every year the organization raises money to send children with life-altering illnesses and their families to Walt Disney World in Florida. The age range of many of these children is between the ages of 13 to 18.
TONI&GUY has partnered with Kidd’s Kids to help fulfill the mission for children and families all over the Dallas metroplex. Through partnership with Kidd’s Kids we have decided to host Give Back days, donating a percentage of our salon revenues to the organization, and scheduling hospital visits to host Glam Squad parties for patients. Our goal is to help create events that will allow families to create happy memories.
Last week, the TONI&GUY San Antonio salon team gathered at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio to host a glam squad party for young patients that have been in the hospital for some time. The party included a live DJ that brought high energy to the kids, playing songs from some of their favorites, like Selena and Justin Bieber. The salon team styled hair in festival-worthy looks, offering the girls some fun makeup playtime, and adding fresh pops of color to their nails for a glamorous finished look.
While in San Antonio, Caroline Kraddick, daughter and Chief Happiness Officer of The Kidd’s Kids Foundation said, “There are teenagers in here that always need a pick me up to bring them joy, and I’m glad I can do that through glam parties with TONI&GUY.”
Our journey with Kidd’s Kids has just begun, we are excited to continue to host hospital visits for patients that could use a reprieve from their treatments in the hospital. Giving patients a place to sit, relax and enjoy a beautiful makeover helps keep their minds off of their medical status and find hope in a hospital room.
In the month of May, TONI&GUY Academy students of Keller will be heading to The Children’s Medical Center to give prom makeovers to patients.
