After 30 years, everyone needs a little nip tuck-freshening up, including a hair salon in one of the hottest destinations in Dallas. TONI&GUY salon, still going strong for three decades in NorthPark Center, is ready to unveil a new, of-the-moment look.
Located on the second floor near Macy’s Court, the salon favored by SMU students and NorthPark shoppers has a new design that incorporates elements that are both luxurious and practical. Think soft-brushed brass fixtures with Carrera marble; matte floors with glossy cabinets; and monochromatic walls in varying shades of white, black, and gray for an intimate environment. Think black leather Italian-inspired chairs with gold arms that stay true to what the company calls its “Britalian,” British and Italian, heritage.
The NorthPark salon is the first Toni&Guy to be completely redesigned with the company’s updated brand aesthetics. So this same, cutting-edge look could be coming to a Toni&Guy near you.
CEO Zak Mascolo says he wanted to bring his mantra “mind, body, and soul” to life in the salons — and it extends to the artwork.
Images and textured murals of iconic hair designs adorn the walls, including many pieces from the company’s new collection called “Us United.” A living wall and hanging plants in the shampoo area provide a burst of color and life.
But the most important new element, the salon says, is custom “high noon” lighting with specific 3500 kelvin light bulbs that put forth the truest tone to natural light, minimizing strain on stylists’ eyes and ensuring better cut and color results.
“I am a fellow hairdresser and I remember the days of standing for long hours and straining my body in the salon,” says Mascolo in a release. “Mind, body, and soul are essential components to my daily routine. I value our salon teams and it is with great pleasure that I share these important elements in our salon designs. Each element has been carefully selected to align with these three values and ensure each of them are comfortable, successful and happy.”
A public grand opening celebration, including hair styling, light bites, sips, and a DJ will take place from 6-8 pm February 27. RSVP to [email protected]
