Austin Finley, of the Hillcrest Crossing Academy, received a standing ovation from members of the audience after his win as the 2010 Hairdresser of the Year.
"I just want to say thank you again," FInley said during his acceptance speech, after receiving his trophy from Anthony Mascolo.
Finley thanked his team, including his wife and colleague Samantha FInley.
"God has blessed me with the brains to put myself around amazing people," Finley said. "This isn't an award for me. This is an award for the collective.
Finley also took home a win in the Total Look category, which he entered with Samantha Finley and Natalie Cole.
The finalists for the 2010 Hairdresser of the Year category included Callie Haynes (Willowbend), Jessica Lasagna (Cumberland), Tab Salsman (Newport Beach) and Rachel Brumbaugh (South Coast Plaza Academy).
It's sexy hair style so I like this ..I'll probably be going to the hairdressers in the city, as I've liked it there and been there about 3 times before. My local hairdressers I don't trust so much.
