TONI&GUY students dipped into fun this week as part of a networking event at a Toledo fondue restaurant. Student stylists from the Toledo campus of the TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy took time Thursday evening to give makeovers at The Melting Pot's Ladies' Night Out. Students joined Mary Kay independent consultants and The Melting Pot staff, offering pampering in the form of day-to-night hairstyles and make up styling along with a two-course fondue dinner.
One patron came back to receive star treatment for a special occasion treat -- she turned 21 years old on Thursday.
The finance and international business major at the University of Toledo said she hadn't planned on doing much else other than dinner for her birthday before her run-in with TONI&GUY gave her a look too hot to keep at home!
"I was just going to go to a friend's house," the birthday girl said. "Now I might tell them that we have to go do something!"
TONI&GUY and Mary Kay gave away gift baskets filled with the latest hair and cosmetic products, including the new Catwalk Your Highness line. The Ladies' Night Out gave students the opportunity to interact with potential clients and display their skills in a new and exciting forum, and served as a challenge to practice marketing themselves and their business in an unconventional setting. They also enjoyed getting a taste of a couple of The Melting Pot's signature dishes -- cheese and chocolate fondue!
